The WeezAccess Pro control terminal (also called WAP) uses the WeezAccess app and allows you to check tickets for your event using its built-in barcode scanner.
1. Connect to the Internet (Wi-Fi)
WeezAccess Pro terminals require an Internet connection to load control data. Tap the Settings > Wi-Fi button to detect and connect to your desired network using a password.
2. Log Into Your Weezevent Account
Tap the WeezAccess app icon at the bottom of the screen.
Important: You must first create an operator to be able to log in.
3. Select Your List

Choose the check-in list(s) required for your event ticket validation, then tap Load.
To learn more about control lists, refer to our dedicated article.
Note: You can create specific control lists from your Weezevent interface under the Check-in List section.
4. Control your tickets
4.1 Validation modes
|
Scan mode |
Touch the screen or press the side button to activate the laser. Hold the ticket perpendicular to the device and aim at the center of the barcode. Keep a distance of 5 to 20 cm between the ticket and the terminal. Move the reader closer or further slowly for quicker reading if needed. |
|
Entry mode |
If the barcode is poorly printed or unreadable, use manual entry mode. Tap Entry in the bottom menu of the app and enter the barcode number printed on the ticket. Tap Validate to confirm. The ticket’s status will then appear. |
|
List mode |
Enter the participant's name or the beginning of it into the search field and tap Search. Scroll through the list if needed and tap the corresponding entry. Tap IN to validate the ticket when the participant arrives, or OUT when they leave your event. |
4.2 Synchronisation
By default, synchronization occurs every 30 seconds. You can reduce this to 5 seconds, but this will use more battery.
The status bubble in the bottom-left corner shows the sync status:
- Red: Initial sync not completed or no sync in the past 30 minutes
- Orange: No sync in the past 5 minutes
- Green: WAP is synchronized
You can use multiple devices simultaneously. If the Internet connection is lost, you can continue scanning tickets as a network connection is not required to validate them. Sync will resume once the connection is restored.
4.3 Ticket Status
Valid ticket |
Ticket already scanned |
Unknown ticket |
The ticket is valid and has been checked in. First name, last name, and price appear. |
The ticket was already validated. The time and name of the scanning device are shown. |
The ticket is not in the list loaded on the device. |

5. Additional features and options
Click on the Menu icon at the bottom right to access the following:
|
Session information |
View the selected control list, the operator ID used for login, and the name of the control terminal. |
|
Statistics |
Displays detailed stats of validated tickets by category and subcategory. |
|
Advanced settings |
Access advanced settings like sync frequency, IN/OUT mode, association mode, sound alerts, etc. Entry Mode (IN) is the default mode to check tickets when participants arrive. |
6. Pairing Mode
This allows to scan a second barcode to pair it to an attendee. Example: for running races, a bib needs to be paired with each runner by first scanning their e-ticket, then the pairing barcode.
Step 1: Scan the attendee’s e-ticket |
Step 2: Pair the second barcode |

7. Troubleshooting
I cannot log in |
If you are unable to log in, first make sure that your device is connected to the Internet. Then check that the email address and password you are using are correct. |
The app is frozen |
If the application is frozen, force close it by double-clicking the iPod’s home button, swiping the app window upward to close it, and then relaunch the application. |
Data does not sync |
If the data is not syncing, ensure that your device is connected to the Internet. Also check your synchronization delay settings in the Settings menu. |
I cannot see my list in the app |
If your control list does not appear in the selection, log into your Weezevent back office and confirm that your list is active and not archived. |
The barcode cannot be read |
If a barcode is unreadable, try slowly moving your device closer to or further from the barcode while keeping it centered on the screen. If scanning still fails, manually enter the barcode number using the Manual Entry Mode, or search for the participant using the List Mode. |
